Eagle chicks fledge

After several “test jumps” this week, one of the eaglets has flown from the nest.  The somewhat perplexed sibling watches as the intrepid one soars from the platform, returning after a few hours.  There are adults in the area, and the ferry crew has seen them unencumbered along the waterway, but I have yet to see more than one adult at a time tending the fledglings.
