There’s lots of heavy equipment in action on Dewees today. In addition to the POA equipment focused on averting a fish kill, the pile driving crew is moving equipment into position to start work on lot 133. They have at least 2 semi-sized trucks, the pile driver crane and a pick up truck on the island. They moved the pile driver crane from the barge landing to lot 133 this morning. Click on the photo slide show below to see photos of the trucks. The right and left arrows will appear when you mouse over a picture and allow you to click through the slide show.
We’re excited to see a new home under construction. The home owners selected The Verdi Company to build the house. Verdi is new to building on Dewees. The two major builders on Dewees are Seabreeze Custom Homes (owned by Van Kinnett) and RS Custom Homes (owned by Chip Narrimore).
Verdi is excited to be building on Dewees! Mobilizing equipment for the pile driver went smoothly despite a couple trucks needing some help from the island backhoe to navigate the soft roads. We’ll be driving piles next week. We appreciate the history and unique qualities of island life and love to hear stories from residents and visitors. We look forward to meeting many of you over the next year. Thanks for everyone’s patience and support during construction. We have great clients and know you will love your new neighbors. We know you are eager to learn of the progress. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Amy Hill
