Introducing “Pluff Mud Perspectives”

Island friends Carl and Cathy Miller have been featured on the Dewees Island blog before– they are very involved in our annual Audubon bird counts, they were the first to capture our fox on film, we send them bird ID questions,  they have helped us set up our owl camera, and they have caught some incredible wildlife photos including dolphins strand feeding.

Cathy has ventured forth with her own blog, Pluff Mud Perspectives, which mentions Dewees Island on the inaugural entry.  Sunday’s post was a great set of photos and a video of kayaking a lowcountry marsh, where they saw a mink, got a great photo of a marsh wren, and lots of other great bird pics. Yesterday she has some incredible shots of a Red-tailed Hawk family in her yard.   The blog is affiliated with the Charleston Audubon Society.

You can subscribe to Pluff Mud Perspectives just like this blog, and it’s a great way to learn about good birding and wildlife locations nearby, as well as get inspired by good info and great pictures.  We can’t wait to see more!
