Today marks a few changes and a move to our new blog site, deweesislandblog.com.  We moved the blog because we wanted to be able to control the ads on our page– it was really frustrating to write a post discouraging the use of bottled water only to find bottled water ads cropping up at the bottom.  You can go to the old site, and be redirected, or you can just come to deweesislandblog.com.

We think DeweesIslandblog.com is a better way to remember how to find us, and we will be experimenting with new features like a calendar and maybe even tides. If you got an email with this information, you are subscribed to the blog. If you didn’t and you would like to be notified whenever we post a story, click the part where it says subscribe on the right hand side, and enter your email address.

One thing that’s different here is that hyperlinks aren’t quite as obvious… whenever you see text that’s light blue, move your mouse over it. If it is underlined, you can click there and go to another site. (You are probably used to seeing underlined blue text.) All of our old posts are still on here, but sometimes the links don’t work. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s something that needs readjusting! Here’s an example of a link to another post, in this case, it’s one about moon snails.
