Dewees Island Property Owners Association members voted on Saturday for the two open Board of Directors slots.  Five people where running, two incumbents and 3 newcomers.

The results are in:

51 votes – Jimmy Jarrett

44 votes – Artus Moser

42 votes – Reggie Fairchild (your’s truly)

38 votes (I think, it was hard to hear) – Lee Miller

36 votes – Hart Deal

Those above the line — Jimmy and Artus — were duly elected and will serve on the POA Board for the next 3 years.

After the elections, the new Board met and re-elected Artus Moser as the POA President.  David McIntyre will continue as Treasurer.

I want to extend my appreciation to all those who are willing to serve our community, including all those who ran for the Board.  Dewees is a marvelous place and we are lucky to have smart, dedicated individuals who donate their time and talents to make our community better.  I wish everyone grace and wisdom as they serve.
