Gretchen Coll, a former Dewees intern, is pictured in this article from The State Newspaper (Columbia) helping rehabilitate cold-stunned sea turtles rescued off the coasts of North and South Carolina. According to the article, there are now a record 18 turtles at the SC Aquarium, with a 19th expected later today. Interestingly, the most recent rescues are are not loggerheads, but green sea turtles and Kemp’s Ridleys.
