If you are coming over to the island for a night or two, or bringing a large group and don’t want to spend your hard earned vacation time in the kitchen, we are exploring local options for you. Our latest find is Everyday Gourmet, located along Coleman Blvd in Mount Pleasant. Proprietor Tricia Hitopoulos prepares a wide variety of grab and go options. We’ve tried the weekly supper special (Pork Tenderloin: Fabulous!) and some of the frozen casseroles. The chicken penne was great!

Chicken Penne, which we bought straight from the freezer, was delicious in the microwave. It would probably be even better in the oven.
When we talked to Tricia, she said they deliver to the marina, so you could place an order either for pick-up or meet her at the ferry. If you click “contact us” on her website, you can get emails like the following, with their weekly specials.
Aside from our everyday tossed pasta casseroles, Lasagna, twice-bakes, Shrimp Salad, Quiche,…. our supper specials are listed below. Your choice of Fresh Seasonal Vegetables are Sauteed Squash and Zuchinni, Steamed Broccoli with roasted Grape Tomatoes, Succotash and Mixed Green Salad.

I can even personally vouch for the brownie, which didn’t make it very far out of the parking lot.
