It’s been at least two years since I have seen one of these on Dewees, but this one was cruising the main channel of the impoundment tonight. They move so quickly, and the light was really low, so my photography leaves a bit to be desired.  Still, they are a thrill to see.  After checking out the shore for a second, this one slipped back into the water and made its way toward the end of the impoundment.  I lost track of him or her, so maybe there is an underwater den or hideout nearby.
