The picture says it all.  Long-time Dewees Ferry Mate Joe RusKauff is smart enough to wear hearing protection when staffing the Dewees Lady.  If you ride the ferry 8 hours per day, like the staff does, then the Dewees Lady would surely give you a headache.  Long-term it might make you deaf.

Residents, lot owners and visitors hate the Dewees Lady — also known as THUNDERBOX.  The nicest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say about her is that, “she’s a challenge to drive.”
