Dewees Island is so close and also far from Charleston, SC.  I took the photo below tonight after sunset from the deck of our home on Dewees.  You can almost reach out at and touch the bridge bringing our family and friends to the Island for Thanksgiving.

It was a beautiful fall day on Dewees.  In the afternoon, the beach was wide as the tide was out.  The light was great for taking pictures and strolls on the beach.
