Several old sand bags near Osprey Walk have been exposed by erosion of the front beach.  I’ve been told that the sand bags were put down after Hurricane Hugo, but pre-date the development of Dewees that started in the early 1990’s.  I’m not aware of a written source that says when they were installed on the beach.
